Now you might be wondering, what are the differences between both of them? Basically the main difference is that the My Book Live is like the My Book Live Duo's little brother as one has 1 storage disks while the other has 2.

but as of the features, its mostly the same with just a little more additional to the My Book Live 2.

The Double Safety backup feature basically continuously maintains a second copy of all your files for real-time data backup in mirrored mode. Half the capacity is used to store users’ data and half is used for a second copy. So in other words, your files will always have a 2nd backup just in the unlikely possibility that 1 driver fails.

The My Book Live series also brings maximum performance and storage facility as it operates on a 800 MHz CPU, which is basically the mother of all processors. Designed around the most recent advances in Ethernet chip technology, My Book Live personal cloud delivers best-in-class read speeds faster than traditional USB 2.0 drives

Other than that, as for the Home Entertainment Hub, the My Book Live system’s  built-in media server streams movies, photos and music to any DLNA™-certified multimedia device such as a WD TV^® Live™ streaming media player, Blu-ray Disc™ player, PlayStation^® 3, as well as Xbox^® 360s and smart TVs. 

Clouds, You've been hearing lots of it, As for Western Digital, They've invented personal clouds where shared storage can be accessed by users within the home or anywhere in the world through secure remote access as well as automatically backup all the computers in their home. It goes through Western Digital 2 Go (WD 2go) & Western Digital Mobile Apps.

WD 2go lets customers move, copy and share content between their mobile device, their Dropbox and their WD personal cloud. WD 2go is available for iPad^®, iPhone^®, iPod touch^® or Android™ compatible mobile devices.

So whats the main features about WD 2go? It features:
