Chiang Mai's Elephant Sanctuary

Photobucket

Continuation of my post on Chiang Mai, We had a trip to the elephant sanctuary which is located about an hours drive from Chiang Mai. The rates were ridonculous as it was priced at 1500 Baht per person, equivalent to RM150 per person inclusive of lunch. But well, since we're already there, why not just have some fun then?

The Sanctuary has more than 50 elephants including baby elephants. Most were saved from the logging industry and well, the elephants are able to perform, paint, and even play football! Other than that, There are also other animals at the sanctuary including water buffalo and oxen. We had to skip the river rafting as the waters were rising and it was dangerous to be river rafting at that time.

Lets see the pictures of this amazing animals!
